There will be limited parking availability on the GW Middle School campus on Thanksgiving morning. Most of the streets surrounding the school are fairly small and don't offer that much space. Please consider using public transportation if at all possible.
If you do need to drive to the event, please refer to the race map, downloadable here: http://www.alexandriaturkeytrot.com/info/map for all street closings.
Yes, but be advised that the Alexandria Police control traffic based on a 15-minute-per-mile walking pace. The race will begin sharply at 9am and the course will close sharply at 10:15.
Since this is a 5-mile course, if you are still on the course at 10:15, you’ll need to move out of the roadway and onto the sidewalk for safety.
Please note that if you are still on the course at the 10:15 deadline, you will not have technically "finished" the course from a race perspective and will not have a time listed in the final results.
